FishCap reusables store and transport fish and seafood between harvest and further processing.

They are a multi-reuse packaging replacement for the EPS (polystyrene / styrofoam) fish boxes. FishCaps are made from proprietary high-performance thermal EPP resin to preserve the temperature integrity, quality and hygiene of seafood during transfer.

Designed in collaboration with the world's largest food retailer, with exhaustive research and development and extensive in-field testing, FishCap passes durability, robustness, thermal and hygiene tests in both multi-reuse intercontinental and domestic seafood supply chains. 

FishCap has FDA, EU and UK-FSA food contact approvals.

The FishCap System

FishCap provides an end-to-end system for handling, storage and transfer of seafood.

  1. FishCap reusable capsules are supplied to a seafood harvest facility just-in-time (JIT) for packing.

  2. Chilled whole fish or fillets are packed into FishCaps.


  3. Industry standard conveying transfers the FishCaps for manual or automated palletising. Each locks securely when cross-stacked.


  4. Dispatched to further processing in-country or via intercontinental road, air or sea freight.


  5. After arrival at a further processing facility, FishCaps can be stored in a chiller or transferred directly to a processing line.


  6. Once emptied, FishCaps are moved to an on-site or off-site cleaning facility where they are washed, sanitised and dried prior to palletising for reverse logistics and reuse.

At the end of their use-life, FishCaps are 100% recyclable in a recycling facility equipped to handle PP.
